Psychotherapy Precepting

I cannot thank Jon enough for being such an incredible preceptor! The format he utilizes makes it extremely manageable for a busy mom, student, and full time nurse like me to complete clinical hours in a supportive learning environment. He has my 10/10 recommendation for anybody looking for a great preceptor!

I had a positive experience during my psychotherapy rotation. The rotation was very convenient, particularly because I was able to access patient charts at my convenience, which allowed me to balance the rotation with my work schedule effectively. This flexibility made the experience manageable and beneficial.

Additionally, Jon was always timely in submitting evaluations, which ensured that I received the necessary feedback promptly. Overall, the rotation was well-organized and supportive of my learning goals. As a student from Chamberlain University, I felt that this experience helped me develop my skills in a real-world clinical setting.

I had the opportunity to work with Jon on my first clinical rotation for psychotherapy. Being that I work a full time job and raising an energetic 1 year old, I was so happy to find a preceptorship that fitted my busy life. Jon was always willing to answer any questions and he responded to emails in a timely manner. I definitely recommend him.

I thoroughly enjoyed precepting with Jon. I learned a lot about Solution Focused Therapy. I also learned more communication techniques for different client situations and personalities. He also does weekly meetings as a group with the students he precepts and it is very helpful to review and ask questions. This was a great learning opportunity and I am grateful for it. First of all…Thank goodness I was able to find this preceptor because I work full time and theres no way for me to just be off of work for clinicals. Better than that though… I find myself utilizing the therapy style in many different aspects of my personal life and it works great!! Thank you Jon! What a true blessing.
